TECHNOLOGY INTELLIGENCE FOR CHIMERA

A new development step for the 3P Engineering project selected by the European Commission for its innovative scope, CHIMERA - CHIckens Manure Exploitation and RevAluation - GA n. LIFE15 ENV/IT/000631: it has been completed the first level analysis of “technology intelligence” as part of the "IPR and Exploitation" implementation, with a focus on the main R&D trends, patents and the most relevant functional actors. The goal is to define the best strategy for exploiting the results of CHIMERA, whose technology - developed by 3P Engineering - is on the first closed-Nitrogen-cycle from pre-treatment to combustion and ashes conversion into balanced fertilizers. The project intends to contribute to the achievement of European air quality and emissions targets, through the reduction of ammonia and PM emissions from agriculture. Once deposited, ammonia affects land or water, causing acidification and eutrophication, with strong damages. It also leads to toxicity for plants growth disrupting eco-balances. The treatment proposed by CHIMERA wants to create an innovative technology and re-use model completely avoiding such a release from poultry manure disposal. Find out more
